I am booked to have a hysteroscopic myomectomy or polypectomy but I think I will have my period (menstruation) on that date.  Can the surgery be performed if I have menstruation?

Ideally it would be preferable if you were not menstruating but we operate "under water" and can therefore wash the blood away so it should not be a major problem.
